The Northcotts
Hello! We are Jenny and Shawn Northcott. As parents to some fast moving boys, we know that you only get one chance (and sometimes only a split second!) to preserve a memory through photographs. We are so thrilled that you are considering having us and the Northcott Mirror Booth at your next event to capture your special moments!
Our family has been synonymous with photography in Barrie for over 40 years. Shawn’s dad, Peter Northcott, opened up a studio in Downtown Barrie over 4 decades ago and we are excited to carry one the family tradition of photographing families and children in Barrie – and now your events with the Northcott Mirror Booth!
We pride ourselves on delivering top notch service and help to make your event one your guest will always remember.
Some Super Random Facts About Us
We met at a local yoga studio. It took Shawn several weeks to work up the nerve, but eventually asked Jenny on a date to see an Ozzy Osborne concert – luckily she likes classic rock
Before photography, Jenny trained as a Registered Dietitian and Shawn trained as a Chef – we truly make a dream team both behind the camera and in the kitchen!
We put hot sauce on everything. Like EVERYTHING.
We are both first born children, type A personalities… But Jenny is a Gemini so sometimes type B.
Shawn’s father (Peter Northcott) was Jenny’s family photographer her entire life. We are pretty sure our paths crossed when Jenny was 8 years old during an Easter photo session. Shawn was hired by his dad to control the Easter Bunnies that day!
Shawn = salty (chips) Jenny = sweet (chocolate). Forever.
Our favorite place to be is our cottage up north. Shawn built most of it with his own two hands! It’s truly a labour of love. And not even falling down yet.
